About
My interest has always been focused on community work that strengthen the neighborhood and resources for people in Pike County and surrounding areas through promoting our attractive natural resources, tourist attractions, and Southwest Mississippi as an economic sound location for families to live and enjoy.
I have lived most of my life in the southern part of the county, born and reared in Chatawa, MS. I currently living in Osyka with my husband, Randy, now since 1983. My husband and I owned and operated Strickland’s Auto & Sales for twenty plus years. We both are active members of the Osyka Baptist Church.
Prior to becoming a licensed realtor, my employment was a 32 year tenure at Beacham Memorial Hospital where I held the position of Director of Social Services. It was there that I learned to serve people in a compassionate way to help locate community resources for patients and family. I have served as an appointment for the Town of Osyka to the Pike County Economic Development District Board and Pike County Chamber of Commerce with a two year term president tenure, Charter Executive Board Member of the Osyka Veterans Park, honorary member of the Osyka Civic Club. I am currently serving as Director of Pike County Beautiful promoting a mission of “Cleaner, Greener and More Beautiful Pike County”.
I have received several awards including, Marketing Association for MS Healthcare’s “Marketing Person of the Year”, Pike County Chamber of Commerce’s “Ambassador of the Year”, Top Team Captain for Pike County Relay for Life, and March of Dimes. As a Realtor, I have received awards for “Top Sales Agent”, and Multi-Million Dollar Producer.
I have many hobbies such as traveling, being among friends, and genealogy. However, my most desired interest is spending time with my two special grand -daughters who warm my heart!
